Our Accomplishments

As a newly established organization, Hands Across Hollywood has made significant strides in laying the foundation for our mission to address homelessness within Los Angeles and the LGBTQ+ community. While our journey is just beginning, we are proud to have achieved the following key milestones:

• Formation of a dedicated team: Our organization has assembled a passionate and committed team of volunteers, staff, and board members who are eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness, particularly within the Los Angeles LGBTQ+ community.

• Los Angeles LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce Membership: As a member of the Los Angeles LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, Hands Across Hollywood gains access to a network of businesses and advocates dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion. This membership provides valuable opportunities for collaboration, networking, and advocacy, enhancing our ability to create safe and inclusive housing options. It also amplifies our voice in the community, helping us to raise awareness and support for our cause.

• Launch of fundraising initiatives: We have initiated fundraising efforts to secure the resources necessary to acquire distressed properties, renovate them, and create safe and inclusive housing options. The support and generosity of donors are essential to advancing our cause and expanding our impact.

• Community engagement: Hands Across Hollywood has begun building relationships with local stakeholders, organizations, and individuals who share our vision for inclusive, supportive housing. Through community engagement, we are raising awareness about the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals experiencing homelessness and garnering support for our initiatives.

• Our Vision: Looking ahead, our organization is committed to expanding our housing capacity, developing comprehensive support and corporate training services, and advocating for policies that promote inclusive housing and career training options for all Angelenos and the LA LGBTQ+ community. With the support of donors, we aim to make a lasting impact on the lives of those in need.
